F. R. JACKSON & CO.'S JOHNSONVILLE REPORT.
Johnsonvillb, Ootober 31. The oattle entered for the day's sale were generally of indifferent quality, with the exception of one line of 18 head, which were fairly good. Sjme of the bullocks could only be classed as good forward stores. We again advise our clients to forward well fattened oattle only, as those of poor quality are unsatisfactory both to buyer and seller. Beef made 15s the lOOlbs. In sheep the feature of the sale was another line of inferior and well fattened mutton wethers (shorn) of Mr Robertson's which made good rates. A number of light weight wethers were penned, and brought a shade over last week's prices. The lambs were not well fatted, but sold at full values. Pigs were well competed for and maintained recent prices. Cattle— Bullocks, the best line brought from £6 2s 6d to £6 12s 6d, averaging £6 9s sd; other averages, £3 19s 4d, £5 13s. and £4 16s 9d j veal calves were almost unsaleable.
