Serious Railway Accident

A goods train, while watering at the Fish river tanks this morning, was dashed into by a second goods train Attached to the first train was a passenger carriage containing several passengers and railway employes. This carriage was completely smashed, and many of the occupants received injury. Howard, a carpenter, had his nbs broken and his lungs affected, and a man named Wishey sustained serious injury to his head, both men being in a dangerous condition. Mr and Mrs Spiers, Messrs Stevens, Coombes, Riley and George received severe but not serious injury. It i» explained that the accident occurred owing- to the first train being short of water, and stopping to refilL&e boilers.
