Dunedin, October 36.
At a meeting of the Exhibition Committees it was decided to float a Company with a capital of £10,000 in £ 1 shares. A strong directorate waft formed, with Mr D. Harry as Secretary. Over £1500 was subscribed in the room. It was decided that the question of making the Exhibition a colonial or intercolonial one should be left to the majority of the shareholders, but it if is intercolonial another £700 was promised. Mr John Roberta (Murray, Roberts and Co.), President of the Chamber of Commerce,! was appointed Chairman. Those present included the City M.H.K;'s and representatives of the leading/ houses in town, who were of opinion that now the matter has been taken up, the Exhibition will take place, and, as a good many promises havebeen received from other provincial districts, its success, so far as exhibit* art concerned is awrurtd. >■?
