Although this firm were some few days behind the time they advertised their show of Spring Goods, yet after all they were able to lead the van, and were the first in the field for the new season. Mr Morey showed good tasto in the decoration and dressing of tho ; shop windows, while the articles iv the interior were displayed so as to show off their excellencies and beauties to the greatest advantage. The dress pieces were of the latest novelties, consisting of crape, arophaue, and waterbury cloths ; prints of aU th© newest designs and tints. Millinery ._ being a specialty with this firm, they . were showing all tht. leading London and Paris fashions of the latest styles. In the clothing department, the men's and boys' clothing showed a marked advance in quality and finish on previous years importations. All other of minor lines were well represented, and the whole aspect of the establishment was an evidence of taste and ex- ■ penence on the part of the pioprietors, with an evident intention oa tbeir part to supply their customers with not only the best, but the most beautiful articles.
