Eedmond, M.P, for W*xford N ., has been convicted on a charge of conspiring to prevent reletting of lands in Ireland, and sentenced to fire weeks imprisonment without hard labour. The dimensions of the cruisers now building for the Australian station are — Length 265 feet, with displacement of ! 2575 tons. Their horse power will be 7500 each. It is understood that Lord Knutsford has forwarded a despatch to Sir Frederick h.
