The Feilding Star. TUESDAY, SEPT. 25, 1888. The Horticultural Society
Now that the little breeze about the ; adjourned meeting of persons inter- ! ! ested in the Feilding Horticultural Society has calmed down, we would suggest that the President and other officers bestir themselves a little with tbe view of getting up a show for December. There is plenty of time yet for all necessary work to be done. | Ail that is required is a start to be made, and the thing will go on as smoothly as ever it has in past years. The invariable success of the local shows, both as regards exhibits and finance, should act as a direct incentive to increased exertion this year. The season promises to be exceptionally favorable for flowers and vegetables, and should also be an encouragement, both to prizegivers and prizetakers. We would suggest that the Secretary call another meeting as soon as may be convenient to the members of the Society.
