CT* IR,— Will you kindly insert these few V^ lines in-vonr widely circulated paper .or the benefit of whoever it may concern, have a child who has been afflicted •with an obstinate skin disease of a mosi itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the tace. about the size ef a pin's head. Of ■course, a medical man was applied to. but it steadily increased until face and liead were one dark brown crust of s^es. Then it spread ta the body, chest, ' SC> points and all fleshy parts.. M diet. skill appeared to be of n» use, but m.*u made him worse. In despair I looked •ipon the doctors as useless beings of the .community. On the 17th of September .ast the child was shown to Dr Spkeb, voW residing in Wellington. On looking ai him fo>- a mmute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man cF great skill can do. After the first five days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Speee's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from Ws system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case m previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, to call on Dr Speee for advice. — lam, &c . A. AINDERSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January* 1 388.
