« VEEDICT FOE THE MAOEIS. The Chief Justice intimated to Mr Skerrett, counsel for the plaintiffs, yesterday afternoon, that on Friday next the Court of Appeal would give judgment in the case of Te Ara Takara and others v. Alex. McDonald, affirming the decision of Mr Justice Richmond, who had decided in favour of plaintiffs, costs to be on the highest scale. The action it will be recollected, was brought by the original native owners of the Awahuri Block, Manawatu, to regain possession on paying the amount of the mortgage, and both the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal have decided in their favor. — Post.
