Correspondence
We are not re sponsible for the opinions of our correspondents.] DR MONCKTON IN REPLY. , TO Tl.lK EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sib, — To pass by Mr Edmund Goodhehere's abuse, self praise, and bad grammar, I will confine myself to his deuial of my facts. As regards his not being reporter or correspondent of the Advocate, I may ask whether his occupation at the reporters' table in Court and at public meetings is only a piece df eleemosynary eccentricity ? As regards also my. charging him with refusing to hold a meeting : A& I was there, and Messrs Powles (seiir-), Wprsfold, and Hall were also present, there were no want of witiiesses ;' md though they might unite with Mr Edmund Goodbehere in consideriag I was an intruder, yet r--"doti*t think he .can induce either of jttiem'to contradict me. Mr Worefotd" ' did . publish an antagonistic letter ; j but" even, in that, he only deprecated, but did not venture to deny, the truth of what I said. I would also j^pminend Mr Goddbehere to couch any future communications in more courfebua language, if he takes part in a controversy, or he may not get them replied to. — I any &c, F. A. Monceton.
