Mangaone State School
The Mangaone school was examined by Inspector Biridon on the 4th inst. The following are the results :-— SiAiJDABiS L^-Prtisehted 8, passed 8, viz.— Boys : Neil JRlssbn, William Adsett, Alfred Francis, James Fisher. fet Girls : Nellie; Garlick, Mary Mexted, Maria Simpson, Elizabeth Flower. Standabd IL— Presented 11, excepted 1, passed 10, viz.— Boys : R. , Simpson, W. Adsett, J. Sewart, E. I Hill, W. Simpson, 8. Lankshear: Girls : Olive Pleasants, Louisa Pattereon, lily Eriig, Maggie Shortall. Standabd. ILL — Presented 13, excepted 2, passed 6, viz. —Boys : F. Pleasants. Girls : Elizabeth Shortall, Nellie Mexted, YMary Stewart, Kate Pleasants, Catherine Hitchman. Standabd IT.— Presented 3, passed 3, viz.— Boy: H. Ashworth. Girls: Mary Aahworth, Rose Allerby. Standabd V.-— Presented 4^ passed 1, viz.— W. Smith. The percentage of passes was 84.8. Number oh roll L 64; present at examination 58. In his remarks- the Inspector says, " The work is very heavy for one teacher and if children would only attend regularly - the school would be entitled to a pupil teacher."
