-+. "The ordinary monthly meeting of the Brigade was held on Thursday evening, at the office of Captain Bray, who presided. The minutes of the provious meeting were read aud confirmed. A letter was read from Aitken, Wilson, and Co., Wellington, offeriug to send particulars of cost of one of Merryweather's engines they had just imported for the Greytown Brigade. The Captain reported that arrangements had been ■* made for an enter-: tainment, in aid. of -the funds. of the Brigade, as soon as possible. A conversation.- was held on the question of the purchase of an engine, and it was resolved, That Messrs Aitken, Wilson, and Co. be written to for cost and terms of engine mentioned in their letter; and that the officers be empowered to make arrangements for the purchase of similar engine if deemed suitatjje. Resolved, T^at; prices be ascertained of printing _1 00 copies of the Brigade's rules and regulations. Mr tJharles Bray, junr., was ballotted f dr, and: unanimously elected, a member of the Brigade. Accounts for £25 14s were passed for payment, and the meeting adjourned. 7.
