Pohangina Bridge Contract
* The following are particulars v connection with the above contract :— The deposit with tenders must b< £300 ; bond £1400 ; penalty for over time, £20 per week ; time for com pletion, 19 months. The bridge is t< be a cylinder bridge, 4ft 6in cylinders, 48 feet in length, with 8 spans of 8( feet and iron girders ; and six timber spans of 13 feet. All the iron foi girders and cylinders has to be manufactured in the colony, including bolts and rivets. Cast iron to be imported in the term of pig iron, and malleable iron exactly in the state in which it i leaves the rolling mills. The for* ! mation level is to be 14 feet above the highest recorded flood and about 25 feet above low water.
