Grace cap* tamed the All England team, and having won the toss, decided to bat. Boyle, Jones, and Jarvis are not playing in tbe match. The England team have lost five wickets for 100. Later. The first innings of the Englishmen closed for 172. At the close of tbe day's play the Australians had lost two wickets for 32.
