TO THE EDITOB. kindly insert these few linos in \ our widely circulated paper or the benefit rtf whoever it may concern, have ii child who has been afflicted with an obstimite skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face, about the size ef a pin's head. Of course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and ' head were one- dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints and all fleshy parts. Medical skill apveared to be of i • use, but often made him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spbeb, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as n man of great skill can do. After the first five days* treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The cliild is still under Dr Speke's care, as he declares it will take some time jet to entirely remove it from his system; It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least .unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confidently advise, anyone who should be so . unfortunate as to require medical aid, to call lon Dr Speee for advice. — lam, &c , A. AIsDEKSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
