In placing before the Public tMs valuable preparation for the Destruction of all kinds of Scrub, Thistles, Briars, Burr, &c, the Manufacturers and Patentees* beg to state that numerous tests have been made, not only in a private manner, but also in the presence of graziers, practical farmers and others, and in no single instance has it been known to .prove ineffectual, each successive experiment simply tending to prove it a complete success. ■ In the Heytesbury Forest, for example,' it killed not only the stems I and leaves, but also the roots of the following :-tMimosa, Perns of all kinds, Prickly Box, Currajong, Sword Rush, Eucalyptus Scrub, and the Swamp or Black Gum Treee, unusually difficult to destroy. At Jan Jvc it operated successfully upon Briars, Grass Tree, Eucalyptus and Box Scrub, large Gum Trees, Dock, Cape Weed, Burr, and other noxious weeds, and in every case^the experiments were crowned with success, the roots when dug up being completely dead and decayed. Several of these experiments have been conducted in the presence of A. Fisken, Esq. (Fisken, Valentine & Co.). of Melbourne andßallarat. For carriage drives, garden and footpaths th 6 Exterminator is invaluable. No hoeing is required. The method of application is simply to sprinkle the liquid over the weeds and they will die ; and as it kills the roots they cannot grow again. The cost is very trifling and wUI not amount to one-twentieth part of the cost of labor to hoe the same, and the drive or walk remains^ unloosened and uninjured. „ To Shire Councils and Municipal Bodies the Exterminator is especially recommended for cleansing Side- Walks, Gutters, &c, from grass and Aveeds. - Cape Weed— This troublesome weed may be completely eradicated, without injury to the grass, by using a solution of the preparation in the proportion of lib to 24 gallons of water.S.
