New Zealand Institute of Surveyors
A meeting of authorised surveyors of the Kangitikei and Manawatu districtß"was held in Messrs Palmerson and Seott'abffioe at 2 p.m. on Saturday. About fifteen gentlemen were present or represented. Mr T. W. Dowhes, of Bulls, occupied the<mair. The propped rules of the institute vere read and considered, and a local committee appointed consisting of Messrs Carkeek, Pundas, Downes, and Palmerson, to receive names of intending members, , &c., Mr H. S. Palmersoa being appointed hon. sec. $o committee. :? ■ - Messrs Garkflek, Palmerson, and DowHes were appointed as delegates to attend the first meeting of the institute at Wellington on the 3rd September next. , Intending members w«re reqiwsted to forward their names and proxies to the hon sec,. without delay.— Standard.
