The Hut t County Council has refused to pay Charitable Aid Assessments. Mr Faii-field Thompson has been nomi. nated for the vacant seat in the Borough Council. Mr Wilson is urging the Minister for Public Works to delay altering the train service on the Fox ton-Palmers ton end of the Foxton-New Plymouth Railway till the commission in appointed, so as to allow the commissioners to deal with the whole question of train service on that line. .-.-•■■■•"•. .
