TO THR KDITOU. 5 IR, -Will yon insert these few lines iv \ our widely circulated paper or the benefit of whoever il.uiay concern Lave a child who has beei. afflicted ■with an obstinate skin disease <-f a mostis chins muure for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or the.eabruts, ymall reddish sjots appeared in the race, about the siz*- ef a pin's head. Of tnurse, a medical man whs applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, -oinis and all fleshy, parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often wade -him worse. In clovair 1 looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spker, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month : the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists." The child is still under l)r Speee's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previoms treatments. So I can confidently, advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, tc call on Dr Speer for advice.— Urn, Ac.. A. AJnDERSON Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
