TO THE EDITOR. IR,— Will you kindly insert these few '»"* lines in your widely circulnled paper or tin* benefit ">f whoever it may concern. !mve a child who has been nfflieted ■with an obstinate skin disease of a most iti'l.ing nature for more than seven years. Svhoii six weeks old, or thereabouts, •smsU reddish spots appeared in the race, about the size ©f a pin's head. Of ■course, a medical man was applied to, lint it steadily increased until face nnd head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, jo^tts and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often itiaue him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spkeb, now residing in Wellington. On looking j at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five days* treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Spebe's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten | to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, to call on Dr Speee for advice. — lam, &c. A. AINDEKSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
