-♦ Referring to the team for Victoria, "Lance Corporal," in the Wanganui Herald, says :— As to those likely to go I have heard of the following from Wanganui — Fos'er, Hughes, Churton (G.M.J, Duncan, Rodwell, Flyger, W. T. Watt, all of them good men. and four of them medal men at the N Z.R. A. If the "old horse," Purnell, could only get away he would be a host in himself. It is said that "Tommy" Hutchison (GM.) and Richardson of Dunedin, Capt. Donald of Masterton, Lieut- Ross (G.M.) of Napier, Capt. White (G.M.) of Auckland and ex-champion, are likely to join the team. If Parslow (G.M.). Okey (G.M ). W. B-ilhnger, Kuchen, and one or two fiers of the leading men can find time to go away there is a chance of New Zealand gaining distinction in a new line. lam hoppy to be able to say that Capt. Sommenrille, the indefatigable chairman of the N.ZB.A., will be among the visitors and act as " skipper," and no better man could possibly bY found. The Manchester Rifles will parade for ins-e'-'ion m Friday next. Fines will be i&fiicte.g for non-attendance.
