On the i7th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spkeb, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five ■days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month tbe skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under l)r Speeb's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. Ttmust also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previoms treatments.
