Cheating the Gallows
| PBB CNITBD PBKBB ASSOCIATION, i Gisbornk, July 23. The search party for the Waipu murderer, William Turei, on Saturday found his body in the bush shot through the head. The fatal wound was evidently self-inflicted, as a piece of string was tied to his toe and to the trigger of the gun, which rested , between his legs. His prayer book was lying on the ground alongside At th« inquest on the body of the murdered woman on Friday a verdict of wilful murder was returned against William Tureai, husband of deceased.
