Intelligence was received in town this afternoon; that a collision bad oew curred between Tauraa Kukupa, a celebrated Whangarei chief, and Era Hiri, a chief of another tribe. They and their following met, and had a severe conflict, in which two men were killed and a number wounded on both sides. Attcklakb, Joly 20, The dispute which has existed forsome time between two sections of th* Ngapuhi tribe at Whangarei respecting a block of land, culminated this morning in actual fighting. The flag was pulled down, and a battle commenced. The latest news received states that several natives have been killed, and others wounded. Mr Me* Olendon, 8.M., ana two constables, have gone out to the scene of the) trouble. There are about 70 natives on one side, and 12 on the other. Particulars yet to hand are very meagre. '
