FACTS ABE FACTS. TO THE EDITOtt. - - IR,— Will you kindly insert these few > '• lines in your widely circulated paper or tbe benefit of whoever it may concern. have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face, about the size of a pin's head Ut course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, -oints and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often made him worse. In despair I looked anon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wellington. On looking •at him for a minute or two he struck at tbe root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Speer's care, as he declares it will take som* time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal whieli always was the case m orevioas treatments. So I can confiiently n.ivise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, to ->I1 on Y'r Speer for advice. — lam, &c . A. ANDERSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
