Wlien" six weeks old, or thereabouts, smell ri'ddj.-ii spots appeared in the lace, aivut tbe size cf a pin's head. Of course, a medical man was applied to, but it steely increased until face and l;i : :iri were one dark brown crust of sores. Th'rn it spread to the body, chest, back, jo-n's and nil lleshy parts. Medical skill Mpsseared to be of no use, but often jiu.de him worse. In despair I looked upon die doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September list ihe child was shown to Dr Speee, -now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck al .Uic root of the disease at once, as a man ■of great' skill can °o. After thefirst five ►days' treatment, small strips of healthy -.skin became visible ; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a improvement on the body. .After fotir months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and •wrists. The child is still under Dr Speck's care, as be declares it will take .-some time yet to entirely remove it from liis system. It must also not be forgotten to ndd that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal .-organs, which always was the case in vrbvipH"! treatments. So I can confi/.riently a.i vise anyone who should be so Miufortunnte as to require medical aid, to *call on Dr Speee for advice. — lam, &c.. A. AiNDEKSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888. P.S.— I will willingly give any further information to any person who will either = call or address me at Johnsonville. — .Apvt.'
