TO THE EDITOtt. i. x IB,— Will you kindly insert these few **' lines in your n iclely circulated paper or the benefit of whoever it may concern have a child, who has beeii afflicted *with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the race, about the size ef a. pin's head. Of •course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often made, him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September H ist the child was shown to Dr Spkur, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a niraute or two he struck at the root ol the disease at once, as a man •of great skill can do. After the first five •days" treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a •wonderful improvement on the body. AFter four months' treatment there only Temains a few marks on his legs and Tvrists. The child is still under Dr Spef.r's t-are, «s he declares it will take some xiwn: -et I--- 'Miiirely vfKiove it fiom hissvslesn.
