The total revenue of the colony for the year amounts to £7,000,0 K) being an increase on last year of £870,000. The principal increases hare been in the following departments: — Customs, £220, ~ 000 ; and Public Works, £807,000. Stdney, July 1. The direlect vessel which was dis» covered some days ago off the harbour of Newcastle still remains in the same position, her anchors holding firmly. The steamer Alhambra was chartered to endeavor to remove the obstruction, but although she has been engaged for the past week trying to tow the direlict into port she has not succeeded. Yesterday a a steamer entering the port ran foul of the ill»fated vessel, and was so severely damaged that she sank in a few minutes, the crew having but a few minutes to save themselves, The South British Insurance Company have a risk of £6000 on tho sunken steamer, Pbbth, July 2.
