■ ■ * ' Hfl^ie Manchester Bifles will parade on the 13th and 20th of Sergt-Major Macmillan will on both occasions to rub up the recruits, and further instruct the newly appointed sergeants in their duties. It is expected the Inspector-General lieutenant- Colonel Hume, will shortly pay an official visit to this district when the corps will have to be prepared to receive him. Fines for non-attendance will now be enforced without respect of persons, and the worst offenders will be discharged out of the corps. The officers appointed to revise the Volunteer regulations are making satisfactory progress with their work, and it is expected that their labours will be concluded this week. The new regulations will be awaited with interest by volunteers in all parts of the colony.
