It is reported that the Duke of Cumberland and the Emperor William have reconciled the difference on the question of the Hanoverian claims, which, it is understood, haye new been renounced. The division on Mr Morley's amendment was taken this evening, with the result that the amendment was negatived by 93. The figures were — For the amendment, 273 ; against, 366. In the course of a debate on Mr Morley's amendmeit, Mr Gladstone said he believed that, at the first opportunity, the country would unequivocally condemn the existing state of affairs in Ireland, where a repressive policy had proved a failure. Mr JBalfour said there was to-day less orime in Ireland than had been known for years; rents were paid, and social difficulties were disappearing. St. Petebsburg, June 27.
