FACTS ARE FACTS. TO THE EDITOR. :< •< ij^—Willyoit kindly insert these few lines in your widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern, have a child who has been afflicted: ■with an obstmate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the tace, *bout the size ef a pin's head. Ot course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and Siead were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, jpinls and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often made him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the •community. On the 17th of September Hatft the child was shown to Dr Speeb, -:now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at 3 tie root of ihe disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five -days* treatment, small strips of healthy -skin became visible; in less than a : month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. .JLfter four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and -wrists. The child is still under l)r . care, as he declares it will take «ome time yet to entirely remove it from ' 3iis system. It must also not be forgotten to add that^tlve medicines have not had: jthe least unpleasant effect on the internal ■^organs; which always was the case m previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyono who should be so -tmfortunate as to require medical aid, to «all on Dr Speck foradvice. — lam, &c. A. A3NDERSON. .Tohnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
