Japanese Goods

The products of Japanese rrt are finding their way into this country in large quantities, and Messrs Stevens and Gorton will have on view, on Monday at their auction rooms, Fergusson street, a varied assortment of these, wares, an inspection of which gives one a capital idea of the perfection attained by Japanese artisans. The collection is a consignment direct from the Museum of Art and manufactures at Kobe-Hiogo, Japan, and comprise 237 lots, which will bo submitted to auction on Wednesday the 27th inst. Many of the articles are very beautiful, the embroidered silks screens, and porcelain ware being calculated to arouse the desire of post session in any lady who desires to make her home look pleasant The ornamental and useful are also well blended in the collection, the sale of which should attract a large number of purchasers.
