The sngar crop is less satisfactory than anticipated. The triple murder which occurred . during a Malay festival at Normanton has resulted in a European riot. The latter burnt all the houses of aliens resi» ding at Normanton, beside their nets and fishing boats, and the loss is estimated at £2000. All the aliens have left the town. The mob threaten to lynch the murderer, and it is feared trouble may arise, as most of the aliens are armed. Adelaide, June 16Pleuropneumonia has broken out in the Wandearah district, 153 miles north of here. Newcastle, June 18. Great excitement has been caused by the news that, a derelict vessel of apparently about 1200 tons burden has been found at sea, and is being towed into Port Stephen, a few miles north of here. At a large meeting of miners it was determined to boycott Chinese absolutely.
