SIR,— Will yd kindly insert these few lines in yoar widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern. bave a child who has been afflicted ■with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When "six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the tace, about the size ef a pin's head. Of course, a medical mun wns applied to, butit steaiiily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints and all' fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but- often niaite ; him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spebb, noy residing in Wellington. :On looking at 'him for a nnnute or -two he struck at therropt of the disease at once, as a man of ixreai skill can do. After the first five ■days' treatmeut, small strips of healthy skfa became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs' and wrists r The child is still under Dr. Speeb's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his-system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal •organs,' which: always was the case m preirioas treatments. So I can confi-(dently-tfdvise anyono who should be so Tin fortunate as to require medical aid, to •call on Dr Spbbb for ad vice.— lam, &c, A. AXDERSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888. P.S.— I will willingly give any further Tnformation to any person who will either •call or' address me at Johnsonville. — -Apvt* *T.
