The following is the weekly report of Messrs Kaye and Carter's Christchurch grain and produce markets: — Wheat: Tuscan, pearl, and velvet, 2/10; hunter's whita, 2/9. Oats: Milling, 2/1; seed Tartars, 2/2; black, 2/2; duns, 2/-; bright short feed, 1/11; discolored, 1/10; Dauish, 1/9 to l/ 9£. Parley: Prime malting, 4/3 to 4/4 ; good malting, 4/- ; feed, 2/4 ; Cape, 3/1 ; pearl, £19 (scarce). Flour: Roller. £8 o/-; stone, £7 15/-. Syegraa : Machine dressed, 2/9 ; farmers' lots 2/3 at 2/4. Cocksfoot; Prime heavy dressed 3Jd; medium, 3£; good seconds and scrumps, 1 J and 2d. Hay : Baled, £3 5/- per ton. Chaff: Good oat sheaf, £2 15/-; straw, 37/6. Potatoes: Prime ripe Derwents, 42/6 (sacks in) ; bath, lapstone, and fluke kidneys, 65/-. Butter : Prime (scarce), B£d. Cheese : Loaf, 4d to 4£d ; medium sizes, 3sd. Hams and bacon, 7d; hams, 8£; bacon, 6f (bare).
