The evidence taken by the Rabbit Commission at Silverton shows that the disease discovered by Dr Butcherutterly extirpated the rabbits on the Tintinalolloga run, which comprises, an area of 240,000 acres. Mr Salomons, in moving the. second reading of the Chinese Bill in the Legislative Council, suggested that measures should betaken to preclude women from visiting Chinese camps, excepting such as were legitimately married to the Chinese ; and, further, that restrictions should be placed on the marriage of Chinese to white women.
