Bulls, May 26. j We have held large and successful sales at both* Awahuri and Sandon since our last report aud though cattle are still very low, there was a little improvement in the sale of young stock at Sandon. Our yard room at Sandon was taxed to its utmost, but we hope befok. next sale day to have j increased accommodation there for the public. Sheep of all classes are in good I demand, more particularly wethers aud I lambs. We quote the following prices : — ! Cattle. —Awahuri: Fat cows, £3 3/- ; store cows, £2; mixed 18-m»nths, 21/---to 26/- *, calyes, 12/-. Sandon : Milkers, £2 12/6 to £4 19/6; mixed year and 18---month, 19/- to 23/- ; mixed weaners, 13/---to 17/6 ; calves, 9/Sheep.— Awahuri: Fat wethers, 10/3; store wethers, 8/11 ; mixed sheep, chiefly wethers, 8/4 : ewes in lamb, 8/- ; woolly lambs, 6/8 ; shorn, 4/6 to 5/1. Sandon : Fat wethers, 9/- ,* fat ewes, 9/6 ; ewes m lamb 6/- to 6/9 ; woolly lambs, 6/9 ; shorn, 4/- to 4/3.
