TO THE EDITOH. l"*IR,— Willyo'i kindly insert these few lines in your widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern. have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the tace, about the size of a pin's head. Of course, a. medical man-, was -applied to, but it steadily increased until face and bead were one. dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body,- chest, back, joints and all; fleshy parts. Medical skill /appeared to.be of no use, but often, made him worse. In despair, I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community.. On the 17th of September last, the child was shown to DrSpBEB, noW residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five days" treatment, small strips of healthy ■skin became visible; in less than a month- the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks, on his legs and wrists. The child is ' still under 3}r SpSeb'b care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. 7lt must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have-not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which : always /was the' case fn preyjous treatments^. So I can confidentlyadvise anyone who should be so -unfortunate as to require medical aid,; te .callonJD. Spebb for advice.— lam, &c, ; A. ANDERSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January* I£BB.
