When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face, about the size of a pin's head. 01 course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores, Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often made him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of Septembei last the child was shown to Dr Spkeb. now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of tbe disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first fire days* treatment, smill strips of healthy skin became visible ; in less than a month the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only Temains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under Di Speer's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which, always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confi' dently advise anyone who should be sc unfortunate as to require medical aid, te call on Dr Speee for advice. — lam, &c, A.
