ENGLAND v. ROBERTS' TEAM.

The match between the English team of footballers and the team of Welling* ton men, which was arranged at a meet* ing of footballers on Sunday evening, took place on the Basin Usserve yester* day afternoon, at Wellington, and was woa by tlie visitors by 4 points to 1, after a most exciting contest. There was a large attendance of the public, between 3000 or 4000 spectators being on the ground. Ham fell during the whole of the afternoon. Daring the game Whitman, of Wtfsrarapa, broke, his leg, and Andrew Thomson, late of this town, received an injury to his Bhoulder, making him unable to play in the second spell, in which the Englishmen scored.
