(PKB DNITKD PH :88 ASSOCIATION ) Chbistchitrch, May 6. This afternoon tUe body of a man [ wns found in Hagley Park, with a revoN ■ ver by his side and a bullet hole in his , forehead. He was identified as that of Mr E. G. Price, sheep inspector, by a railway pass made out in that name which was found in his pocket. Nothing • is known as to the cause of deceased committing suicide. At the inquest a verdict of suicide while temporarily insaane was returned. [ May 7. • This morning John McKay, a master , tailor, was found dead in a room at the .British hotel, Lyttelton. A box of "Hough on rats" was by his side. The cause of the suicide is not known. Blenhkim, This Day. A fire broke out about midnight at at Wills ironmongery store Market Street cJouth. the whole of the building was gutted and by great efforts the brigade managed to confine the fire to the one building.
