Sir William Jervois has been elected a Fellow of the Eoyal Society. War is to commence in Europe this month, or it will be indefinitely postponed. We regret to learn that Mr Munro, of the flaxmill, Awahuri road, got bis collar bone broken on Saturday last. None of the tenders for Dr Monckton's log-crate have been accepted as they were all far beyond the Engineer's estimate. We regret to, learn that Mr W. E. Washbourne, of Collingwood, met with an accident this morning' which may prove fatal.
