Allthesa were put up for auction after ,th^ stock sale was finished, and t^l.°Gortop f 8 p?ii tience and good humor in offering the uasold fancy goods and refreshmemts were unlimited, so that when the Bey .Aj Hermon, supported by His Worship thd Mayor, thank«d the gallant Colonel fo* his kindness and courtesy in offering foi use his sale yards, his auction room, and his gratuitous services, we may safely «ay that all present ielt that a hearty vote of thanks .was no empty compliment.
