Fire at Auckland
» (PER UKITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Auckland, This Day. Tke Avondale Hotel was destroyed by fire on Monday. Murdoch, the lesee, and hie family had a narrow escape. The orzfiwi is unknown. The furniture was destroyed, and amongst other losses was £96 in cash. Hotel insured in N.Z, i office for £600 ; stock, J200 ; furniture, £500, piano, £30; in all £730 in South British, but this company had re-insur-ances of £250 with Phoenix, and £209 with Equitable.
