The House of representatives has been sitting sinoe Wednesday last debating the Tarifi Bill. It has been proposed to refund proportionate sums to the various States, or make a general reduction in taxation in order to decrease the surplus, and so obviate the necessity for a revision of the tariff. Dublin, April 9. Messrs Redmond, Crilly and Davitt, M.P. 'a, also attempted to hold meeting in different parts of the country to prove the vitality of the National League.
