Extra nurses have been subscribed. Sailed — Wakatipu. for Wellington via Newcastle Melboubne, April 7. A fire broke out at Eeid's Coffee Palace Ballarat, last night. There were fifty lodgers on the premises, most of whom escaped in their nightclothes. One was severely burned, and another had his arm dislocated while escaping by means of a rope. One half of the Palace was saved.
