PACTS ARE FACTS. , to thk editor. t- IR,— Will yon kindly insert these few lines in y our widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern, bave a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. "When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face, *bout the size of a pin's head. Of course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, ioints and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often anade him worse. In despair I looked npon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spbeb, aow residing in Wellington. On looking *t him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at pnce, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five 4ays* treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the skin was clean j two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrists. The child is still under l)r Speer's care, as he declares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from liis system. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal .organs, which always was the case in treatments. So I can conh>dently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, te «... „„ Dr SPBBIIor »^^EBSON. Johnsonville, 23rd January, 1888.
