TO THE EDITOB. . .tr —Will you kindly insert these few • • lines in your widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern, have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate- skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the tace, about the size of a pm s head. Ot course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, bnt often made him .worse. In despair I looked u-pon the doctors as useless beings ofthe immunity. On the 17th of September last the child was shown to Dr Spkeb, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minute or two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a map of great skill can do. After <be first five days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible'; in less than a month th^kin was clean; two months a wonderful improvement on the body. After four months' treatment there only remains a few marks on. his legs and wrists. The - child ■» still under Dr Speee's care, as he dec ares it will take some time'yet to entirely wmoveit from his system. It must also not be forgotten *o add that the medicines have not had *he least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case m nrenoM treatments. So I can conudently aJvise anvon? who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid, te „)i ,„ DrSPHKB f-advice^lam,!^ Jnl.nson'vil'e, ;"2Brd January, 18^. p'S I- will willm^l-r give any further itr^ruiation to any pers.m who « ill either caii or «.fi.ire.«s me a> Johns-nville.— APVT- ." ■ :■ AAAfK LUNCH HA'X " ;-">.> :«-S, iVp:.x^te Bank 5«-w ZiA.nnay Wellington £ ISIT RS f rora the country districts V wUI fiiid all the comforts of home ci 'this old- and populai establishment.
