When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face, about the size ef a pin's head. Of course, a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest/ back, join's and; all flesliy parts. Medical skill appeared to be of no use, but often made htm worse. In despair; I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th of /September last the child was shown to Dr Spkrb, Wow residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minuteor two he struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the first five days' treatment, small strips of healthy skin became visible ; in less than a month -the skin was clean ; two months a wonderful improvement on the body.
