VICTORIAN J.O. MEETING. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. [fer united press association. I Mblboubne, March 6. The second day's races of the Vic« toriau Kacing Club's meeting took i place to-day. The weather was fine, I but rather dull and cold, and the attendance was good. Results : — Maiden Stakes, 1J miles. — The Queen, 1 ; Lord Allen, 2 ; Bolingbroke, 3. Five others started. Won by two lengths. Sires' Produce Stakes ; 6 furlongs. — Hon. J» White's Volley, 1 ; Lonsdale, 2; Lady Betty, 3. Pearlshell and Sylvester also ran. Volley jumped off with a lead, and was never headed, winning in a canter by three lengths. Time, lmin. 19fsec. Australian Cup; 2J miles. — Hon. J. White's Carlyon (Bst 21b), 1 ; Mr W. Gannon's Arsenal (Bst 10lb), 2; Messrs Husband and Nicholls' Dick Swiveller (6st 13lb), 3. The other starters were Nelson, Ben Bolt, Australian Peer, Malua, Niagara, Oakleigh, Enfilade, Cyclops, Abuse, E.D., and Moorhouse. Carlyon led into the straight, but at the distance post Arsenal shot out and challenged the favorite, but could not get on even terms, and Mr White's horse won by half a length, Arsenal beating Dick Swiveller for second place.
