Horticultural Society

— . The autumn show of the' above was held to-day in the Public Hall. Owing to pressure on our space we are unable to publish to-day the list of prize-takers, but it will appear in our next issue. The exhibits of vegetables were specialty worthy of favorable notice, while the collections of apples were quite up to the average. Some good samples of grapes were shown, and the plates of fruit generally were very attractive. Altogether the promoters have every reason to be -satisfied with. the result of their labors bo far. The Hall will be open to-night, when Mr' Daw's band will discourse will discourse sweet music We hope to see a good attendance of the public.
